Inspired? Good.

Had a major fashion day. I stalked Style.com (where the above pictures are from), online shopped (my latest hobby) and watched episode after episode of The Rachel Zoe Project. May I just throw out there that I adore Rachel Zoe - I mean, Style A to Zoe has its own permanent place on my bookcase (minus the hours I spend studying it). Anyway, one of the episodes I watched was the one where her husband, Rodger, bought Rachel "Dylan McKay's porsche." It was quite a revelation - we share the same love for not only fashion, but Beverly Hills, 90210, as well. Thrilling, I know.
I am really loving what is to come for spring. I recently bought a pair of Citizen bell bottoms, so those will come in handy when I attempt to re-create the first photo (good luck to me!). My closet is filled with silk shirt dresses so I am good in that department. The big test for me will be color. I live in neutrals, so we'll see if I can pull off the coral theme that seems to be everywhere...I think I'll have to start with nail polish first, though.
Okay you seven followers, I am off to bed. More posts to come (I think)! Goodnight all!

Well, I've waited two weeks for this much anticipated first outfit post. I could ramble on about the damn Texas weather and how it ruined all of my plans to get pictures (apparently the thought of shooting inside didn't occur to me), but anyone who knows me would just laugh at my attempt to blame this fourteen day hiatus on snow and ice.
I am just in love with the dress above, it is perfect for spring! It's weird because I normally do not wear anything with a pattern and always stick to safe hues, like brown or camel; but, this floral print grabbed my attention immediately. It brings the 90's back - I feel just like Kelly Taylor from the first couple seasons of one of my all time favorite TV shows, Beverly Hills, 90210 (SOAPnet eats up my DVR). The Sam Edelman boots I am wearing were the perfect present (I gave myself), plus I found them at Neimans a while back during a fabulous sale. It's a good thing I snatched them up because they are now one of my staple pieces. My biggest problem is I will buy something, fall in love, then continuously wear it...some may even use the word "over-wear," but not me. Hey, when I like something, I won't hide it!
Okay I hope I did this post right...blogging should come with a manual. But as with anything, I'll get better in time...I think. One more final thing - I would like to thank the wonderful Margaret who taught me how to stick my collarbone out and achieve just the right "blogging face," as well as her very talented hubby, Joey, who took these pictures! Goodnight you four, loyal followers!

Blogging For The Very First Time

Hello blogging-world. I was recently pushed by a fabulous fellow blogger, Margaret (FashionLitter.blogspot.com), to start my own...so here it is. Don't expect me to dazzle you with my posts or personal pictures (they will come - eventually). I suppose I will simply start my "story" by sharing my own loves (can you have more than one?) with you all. I am a Barneys fanatic and it is in an extreme tie with the overpriced, sometimes snobby, Intermix. Despite this, smaller atmosphere and detailed attention I now receive at the Mix due to shopping there so much, well, it wins. Obviously, I have a fascination with the famous Olsen twins (take another look at my profile picture - look familiar to the one of Ashley?). I suppose that started when I was younger and they were in their prime as horribly terrific actresses, working on the not so long-lived show, "So Little Time," and making their straight to VHS (wow, this is pre-DVD era!) movies such as "Holiday In the Sun" and "Getting There." Anyway, they have created this dream in my head of the perfect sister. You rarely see them apart, except when Mary-Kate was in rehab or when Ashley is working on her perfectly mastered pieces from their two (overly expensive, Vince-esque) brands, The Row and, my personal favorite, Elizabeth & James. Although I am sounding rather negative toward their collections, I must backtrack and say how much I adore their work and I think of each garment as a real work of art...and worth evert penny. Anyway, I have recently learned that despite their strong bond that seems unbreakable, it is not reality for the rest of us commoners. I just found out via e-mail (two short and sweet sentences) that my older sister, Seann, eloped to a man, or as Margaret will correct me, a boy, who is not liked by many, or really, any that I know of.  We are so MKA...not. I guess that fantasy of mine will have to come true with my children someday. *Cross your fingers!*
Well, I have bored you all with my first post as an official blogger and now I am hitting the hay. "Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one." - Dr Seuss. Goodnight all!
